I realized that I haven't updated this blog in quite a while, due to professional and personal reasons, and that I should owe an update.

I haven't moved forth on the cochlear implant front very much since I've reached an odd crossroads. In any case, I'd have to dive in deeper to identify the impacted areas of my hearing loss, such that is it only cochlear damage, auditory nerve damage, or something else. I'll be heading back to my parents' place in a little while, so I'll be able to dig up the old medical records regarding my hearing before I consult with doctors as to my type of hearing loss. In any case, it'll be a good background research.
